The stamp issue which is designed from photographs of the world famous top model that were taken by Matt McCabe.

The Grenada stamps featuring Heidi Klum will be released at a special ceremony at the APS Stampshow at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Friday, August 16 at 2:30 P.M.

The highlight of the ceremony will be the participation of Ms. Klum herself who will be on hand to unveil the stamps at the first day of issue ceremony which is open to the public free of charge.

Heidi Klum is making a special point of participating in the APS Stampshow first day of issue ceremony partly because she has inherited an interest in stamps from her father, who was a collector. Ms. Klum hopes that her stamp series is a fun way to express the value of cultural exchange.

Ms. Klum is from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Her modeling career began when she and a friend cut a modeling contest coupon out of Petra magazine and mailed in a vacation snapshot of Heidi. She had no idea of how far it would go, but Heidi eventually won the contest. From that success, Heidi was signed with an agency and her modeling career officially began.

Heidi has since worked with such top fashion photographers as Sante D'Orazio, Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Bensimmon, Mathew Ralston, Arthur Elgort, Walter Chin, Robert Erdmann, Marco Glaviano, Michael Thompson, Raymon Meier, Richard Burbridge, Mark Seliger, Wayne Mazur, Peter Lindbergh and Steven Meisel.

Besides the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, she has been featured on the covers and spreads of every top fashion magazine, including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, ID, W, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Allure, Esquire, GQ, Vogue (French, British and German editions), German Elle, George, Self, Fitness, Dutch, New Woman and Grazia magazines.

The three different Grenada stamps capture her undeniable beauty, exuberance and natural charm which signify that her phenomenal success so far is only the beginning. At the bottom of the sheetlet is the legend "Heidi Klum: Discover the Beauty of Stamps."

The Grenada stamps will be on sale at the APS STAMPSHOW in a booth manned by APS staff members. Half of the proceeds from the sales of the Heidi Klum stamps at the show will be donated by the Grenada Post Office and their agents, the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation to the American Philatelic Society in order to promote the hobby of stamp collecting throughout the United States.
