The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

The U-S Postal Service said the only way to get a copy of its two-dollar Vintage Circus
Posters souvenir sheet was to buy its 65-dollar stamp yearbook.

A souvenir sheet is a small sheet of a few stamps, aimed at collectors. They’re rarely
sold in post offices — and this one won’t be, either.

But this time, you couldn’t order one from the central stamp-selling facility, either.

Collectors were outraged. Some people want one of EVERYTHING a country issues, and here
they were being forced to buy an expensive product they didn’t want... to get the final
U-S issue of the year.

Then it turned out you COULD buy the Circus souvenir sheet without the yearbook in
something called a “press sheet.” You’d have to buy 12 of the them, but there are
minimums for regular stamps, too.

However.... the press sheet sold out a week before the issue date... and won’t be
reprinted.

So now your only choices are the Yearbook or a stamp dealer.
