Collecting The World

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

With countries issuing more and more stamps to earn more and more money from collectors,
it's hard to believe, but—

"There really are people who collect the world." :04

Tom Fortunato has been a world-wide collector since the age of six.

"Admitted, we can't collect everything, but you collect what you like, within the world
itself." :05

He's a past president of the International Society of Worldwide Stamp Collectors.

"I'll still collect just about anything, including used stamps, especially those of the
British Commonwealth and the British Empire, but I do still collect the rest of the
world, too." :10

Worldwide collectors have an alternative to buying all those stamps.

"There are groups of us who get together and exchange stamps." :03

Fortunato is an advanced collector who finds his worldwide knowledge comes in handy
when looking at the exhibits at a stamp show.

"I am also a philatelic judge, and as one, and also as a worldwide collector, literally,
I have to know the world." :08

Appropriately, Fortunato lives in Greece — Greece, New York, that is.
