Inside Look.

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

While most of us are looking ahead to 2012, Linn's Stamp News has just released its U-S
Stamp Yearbook for 2010.

It takes that long to put one together, but it's well worth the wait. Not only do these
yearbooks have all sorts of technical specifications about each stamp issued during the
year, they also have fascinating background information - such as designs that were
rejected and how the subject was chosen.

I can't wait to find out how the Postal Service put a REPLICA on a stamp for the Statue
of Liberty instead of the real thing.... Why Pogo has been overlooked TWICE for stamps
about comic strips.... Why the Holiday Evergreens designs sat in the files for 18 years...
Or why there was no love lost over a LOVE stamp.

The softcover version is about forty dollars, and is available at the website
amos-advantage-dot-com, from some stamp dealers, and eventually Amazon-dot-com.
