Looking ahead to Oh-Five

The Stamp Collecting Report, I'm Lloyd de Vries.

In a few weeks, we'll be told about most of the U-S stamps planned for next year, but we
already have some specifics and a lot of speculation.

It's definite that, early in the year, there will be a commemorative for Ronald Reagan and
a small sheet of stamps for the Lunar New Year.

We're due four more Disney stamps, and there will be Legends of Hollywood and Black Heritage
stamps, too -- we just don't know who will be on those stamps. Possibilities are tennis
star Arthur Ashe...and next year is the centennial of Henry Fonda and Greta Garbo's births.

It'll be the 50th anniversary of Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat on an Alabama bus,
ushering in the civil rights era.

It's the centennial of Rotary International, and also the one-hundredth anniversary of
President Theodore Roosevelt winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

And next year is the 250th anniversary of the births of Nathan Hale and Chief Justice John
Marshall.

Stay tuned.

And that's Stamp Collecting this week.

I'm Lloyd de Vries, CBS News.
