The Internet

Even during stamp shows,
I'm often online.
Accessibility: I'm online practically every day, reading e-mail and participating in stamp collecting discussion forums. Twice a week, I host chats on the Internet (Delphi) and America Online. I usually attend the New York City Mega-Event shows three of the four days they're held, as well as Stampshow, the APS Winter Show, and Americover.

You can reach me at a number of different addresses, including stamps@pobox.com, LADEVRIES@stamps.org and The Lloyd@aol.com.

Online Pioneer: I have hosted online stamp collecting forums since 1993, starting with GEnie (defunct) and including a defunct forum on the Microsoft Network and three current ones: In 1995, we chartered the Virtual Stamp Club as APS Chapter #1461, the first electronic chapter of any major stamp organization anywhere.

I gave one of the first talks ever at a major stamp show, in New York City about 1994-5, on stamp collecting and online services. Seven people showed up; none owned a computer.
