History:
Organized in 1920, The Utica Stamp Club has been a member of The American Philatelic Society since 1925. We are also a member of the Federation of Central New York Philatelic Societies.

Meetings:
The club usually meets at 7PM on the first Tuesday of the month at New Hartford Public Library, 2 Library Lane in New Hartford. There is plenty of free parking and visitors or new members are cordially invited. We take a break for summer vacation during July and August; when we reconvene in September, the meeting is held the third Tuesday of the month.

Activities:
Our meetings include a short business session and either an educational philatelic presentation or entertainment, such as stamp bingo or quizzes. Occasionally, other events, such as an auction, take place. Instead of the regular meeting in December, a Christmas party for members and guests is held at a local restaurant. Club members donate items for an auction, with part of the proceeds returned to the club's treasury. Installation of officers takes place in June. The meeting is held at a local restaurant, and again includes a lively auction. Other activities have included group tours of Mystic Stamp Company in Camden, New York.

Together with a group of four other area stamp clubs, we take turns presenting a yearly stamp show, CINCOPEX.

We also support a junior stamp club for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders at a local elementary school; meetings there are conducted by one of our members. Many of our members donate stamps and other philatelic materials for these youngsters.

Members of The Utica Stamp Club are available to speak to local groups who want to learn more about stamp collecting; we also have members who will display stamps on public bulletin boards.

Membership:
Membership is open to all ages. Regular dues are $12 a year, which runs from July 1st to June 30th. A portion of these dues helps support our school stamp club. Junior memberships are just $2 a year.
