The Indiana Postal History Society was organized September 6, 1980 and incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Indiana in 1984.
IPHS was organized to obtain and preserve information pertaining to post offices, postmasters, government and private mail service, and postal routes, rates, stamps, envelopes, covers, postmarks, and other markings, operations and practices during the history of the State of Indiana and the territory which preceded it; to obtain and preserve books, documents, and tangibles pertinent to Indiana postal history: To promote public education and information regarding Indiana postal history, by publishing a journal of booklets, pamphlets, or other articles containing same.
Membership is currently $10.00 per year ($16.00 foreign). The Society's fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year.

Quarterly Meetings: AWPEX - Fort Wayne (Oct), EVANSPEX - Evansville (Nov) & CALUPEX - Calumet City (Mar)
