Chicago Philatelic Society
APS Chapter #1

The Chicago Philatelic Society was organized on October 8, 1886, continuing the Chicago Collectors Union that was founded in December of 1884. CPS is Chapter Number 1 of the American Philatelic Society. Dues are $10 per year.

Please join us at our monthly meeting, held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at the Chicago Athletic Association, 12 S. Michigan Avenue, in Downtown Chicago (except for the perfunctory November meeting, which is held at the site of the CHICAGOPEX Show during setup night). Please join us at these meetings to hear interesting members and guests discuss and display both general and specialized aspects of stamps and postal history. Many of us also meet for a Dutch Treat Dinner before each CPS meeting at the Silver Palace, 122 N. Wells St. (downstairs), Chicago, at 6:00 p.m.
